Mary Stewart - Mrs. Agnew of Dalreagle
Married to Patrick Agnew (1705-1758), 2nd of Dalreagle. Mother of Agnes and Alexander Agnew.
Boswell met Mrs Agnew at Mertoun on October 3rd, 1762, together with her son (Alexander), Lord Kames and Patrick Heron. He described her as "a genteel old woman much like a gentlewoman. Lord Kames said he had seen few better".
