Probably a son of John Henderson and Grace Maxwell (d. 1788), William Maxwell's aunt.

Life with Boswell

Boswell met Henderson at Springkell on October 7, 1762, and described him as "a good honest fellow, cousin to Sir William [Maxwell]".
