On October 29, 2011,on the 271st anniversary of James Boswell's birth, a memorial stone in his honour was revealed at Makars' Court in Edinburgh.
The stone, which is sponsored by the Boswell Museum and Mausoleum Trust, bears an inscription from the first entry in Boswell's famous Boswell's London Journal
I rattled down the High Street in high elevation of spirits.
